I supplement Zinc for these reasons:
- Immune system support
- Maintaining healthy testosterone levels
- Decreasing acne / inflammation
- Possible dopamine re-uptake inhibition
I wonder how high dose I can take without causing issues with mineral balance etc?
Currently I take 35 mg a day from supplements. In a study for acne they went up to 90-135 mg of zinc a day and it was as effective as Tetracycline if I remember correctly. But I don't think those doses are healthy in the long term?
