Modafinil is making me extremely itchy

I've used Modafinil last year for more than a month continuously and had some minor itchiness and small red patches on my forearm (asymptomatic), but it never made me itch all over my body. Now, Modafinil is making me extremely itchy, especially my back. I think it's a combination of the winter weather and modafinil's pro-histamine effect. My skin has been very dry lately because of the weather and I think this is why modafinil is making me very itchy.

Yeah it does sound like histaminergic problem. Have you considered small amount of cetirizine to counter it? Or alternatively vitamin C, quercetin, Reishi have anti-histaminergic effects.

I don't have any anti-histamine's in my home as no one in my family has allergies. Didn't know Vitamin C was an anti-histamine, though I suppose it would be very weak as I haven't heard it being used to treat allergies. Wouldn't taking an anti-histamine negate modafinil's wakefulness properties? I assume it would make it considerably weaker.
